Inteplast achieves ISO 50001 for energy management

Inteplast has achieved ISO 50001 certification for energy management, after passing an external audit conducted by the certifying body AENOR last March.

ISO 50001 is a voluntary international standard that assists organisations in implementing an energy policy and managing measures to promote more efficient and sustainable energy use in their operations (installations, products, etc.).

The main goals of Inteplast’s Energy Management System, established until 2030, include:

  • Reducing its carbon footprint
  • Optimising energy consumption in internal processes

The attainment of ISO 50001 has been made possible by the dedicated efforts of the entire Inteplast team.

This certification marks the sixth achievement for the company, following previous certifications in ISO 14001 (environment), ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 13485 (medical products), IATF16949 (automotive) and ISO 27001 (information security), all focused on the design, development and manufacturing of high-performance thermoplastic solutions based on lean manufacturing principles.
